- Writing
- For each chapter (1 – 5) write a one paragraph summary that explains the most important points Rice makes in each chapter. Within each paragraph, choose one word to hyperlink to another site (any word, any website you wish (no porn!).
(Please get the coding down correctly.) - In your sixth paragraph discuss your impressions of the connection Rushkoff makes between youth culture, consumerism, and music. (Make sure view all six segments !). Notice Rice’s commentary about the video at the bottom of page 33 in Writing about Cool. Are there ways to disconnect cool from consumerism? Should they be disconnected? How do you imagine the teenagers would have made a video like Rushkoff’s. Would they have bothered? What would they have done instead?
- Make sure to edit your work carefully (and to get your links correct.) When you’re ready, post your entry. Remember to deselect the “Front Desk” Category and to select your name as the category.
